Kris Aquino Back on TV via GMA Network

POPULAR TV HOST Kris Aquino is mobbed at the Minalongao National Park in Gen. Tinio, Nueva Ecija during her shooting for a new show for GMA Network called ‘Trip ni Kris.’
Yes, after a long hiatus, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is back on television.
She will host a two-hour show on GMA network not as a contract star but as a block timer.
The show is called “Trip ni Kris.”
Kris, in fact, has started shooting for her show. Her first shooting was done in Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija and the famous Minalungao National Park in Gen. Tinio also in Nueva Ecija.
Kris was literally mobbed by the Novo Ecijanos who trooped to her location shooting.
When she was about to finish the shooting, an accident happened making it necessary for her to be rushed to the hospital and later have a few days rest.
Kris actually started her TV career at GMA 7 as co-host of the talk show Startalk with Lolit Solis and Boy Abunda (her current manager with whom she later transferred to the Kapamilya Network).
It was learned that the show of Kris may be aired on the network’s SNBO (Sunday Night Box Office) slot. She is co-managed by Antonio P. Tuviera (Mr. T.), head of APT Entertainment which is not officially connected to GMA and which handles Kris’ ‘digital content.’
A visibly happy Kris began posting photos and videos of her taping for the show on Thursday, March 2, saying: “I’m nervous for this new project, new journey, new team to work with, new places to explore – but I’m prepared because my new steps are being taken wearing beautiful shoes.”
While Kris did not identify the network her Trip Ni Kris show will air, the multi-colored hearts and the rainbow emojis she included in her captions hinted at the GMA Network which later confirmed it.
Kris was signed to GMA’s rival network ABS-CBN for 20 years before she left in 2016. She later interviewed young actress Maine Mendoza as part of a project with APT Entertainment Inc., a subsidiary of Television And Production Exponents Philippines (TAPE) Incorporated.
Both APT and TAPE produce shows for GMA.
On her Instagram postsr, Kris has revealed that she visited Cabanatuan City and Minalungao National Park, both in Nueva Ecija.
On Saturday, she also started using the hashtag “#March262017,” hinting at the project’s air date.
In one of the videos’ captions, Kris spoke about getting back into TV: “I missed this work, I missed meeting new people, and learning about their lives – most of all I missed the smiles that greeted me every time I was taping on location… My months away from TV work taught me to truly be grateful for today and thank God and thank all of you for the blessing of living and loving my life.”
