Pia Wurtzback Set to Transfer Miss Universe Crown in Manila, Admits Dating Fil-Swiss Racer

MISS UNIVERSE Pia Wurtzbach with Fil-Swiss racer Marlon Stockinger.

NEW YORK/MANILA – Now, it can be told that reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzback is dating Filipino-Swiss race car driver Marlon Stockinger.

Marlon earlier actually was mum about their dateS, but lately has become open about them.

And Pia has also opened up on Marlon just six months after she admitted to be dating the man dubbed by the internet as the Sexiest Doctor Alive, Mikhail “Mike” Varshavski.

Pia will transfer her crown infront of her countrymen in the Philippines on January 30, 2017 during the pageant to be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Pia and the Department of Tourism in Manila have assured that the pageant will be held as scheduled.

Prior to the coronation night, more than 100 contestants will visit Davao City, Vigan City in Ilocos Sur and other world famous areas which shall be featured in the show that will be beamed worldwide.

Pia has actually been posting her photos with the Filipino-Swiss racer on her Instagram, sparking speculations that the two were romantically involved.

At the Star Magic Ball last week, Marlon even confirmed that  he and Pia are seeing each other.

“The truth? Let’s put it this way if Pia was here tonight she’d be my date here. So yeah obviously we see each other but we just want to keep it down low pretty much. But yeah, I’ve been seeing Pia,” Stockinger was quoted as saying in a ABS-CBN entertainment news post.

Stockinger describes Pia “very beautiful” but clarified that they are still in the early stages of dating, which is made more challenging by moving around in different time zones.

“Well it’s difficult obviously she’s across the Atlantic right now, I’m here in the Philippines I’m also in Europe so whenever we get the chance, we make the most out of it,” he added in a report by Edwin Sallan of Interaksyon.

Marlon said he believes Dr. Mike is no longer seeing Pia.  “I guess we wouldn’t be seeing each other if that was happening, so what I know is it’s just Pia and I at the moment,” he said.

Last May, Pia posted, “Boy, I’m a prize, not a catch” on Instagram that suggested everything was not well between her and Dr. Mike. They later had a Twitter exchange that same month where they both tweeted that everything was okay.

Since then, not much was heard about the two as Pia concentrated on her Miss Universe commitments while Dr. Mike focused on his medical practice and “Stand Up to Cancer” advocacy.

In Pia’s last tweet of her photo together with Marlon two weeks ago, he called him, “My favorite Swiss” while Marlon also a photo of them captioned as, “NY-Manila with this one.”

Edwin Sallan reported that while Marlon said that he and Pia are still trying to get to know each other, he added that it would be “an awesome Christmas gift” if they could be a couple by the time the Yuletide season kicks in.

Miss Universe in Manila

MAKATI CITY – The planned 2017 Miss Universe beauty pageant will go on in the Philippines as scheduled on Jan. 30, 2017.
The Department of Tourism  issued the clarification even as it branded as mere rumors its supposed cancellation.
DoT Undersecretary Kat De Castro said they were not aware of any cancellation, as the meetings with the Miss Universe Organization were still ongoing.
“Those cancellation rumors on Miss Universe are simply just that… rumors, “ De Castro said.
Earlier, Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon Teo confirmed that the prestigious international pageant will be staged in the “home court” of current Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines.

Wurtzbach herself said even Miss Universe Organization’s president Paula Shugart wants the pageant to be staged in the country.

Wurtzbach is still in Manila since last week to celebrate her 27th birthday with her friends and loved ones.

Aside from talking about her week-long celebration, the Filipina beauty queen also gave an update on the upcoming Miss Universe 2016 pageant through her most recent Facebook Live video.

Last Sunday, when asked what her birthday wish was, Pia said as reported by GMA News, “I’m really hoping and praying that the pageant will be held here and we’re working very hard in making that happen. It’s always been a dream of mine to have the pageant here.”

“It’s always been a dream of hers (Shugart) as well to have the pageant here. It’s kind of like everybody’s dream. We want the pageant to be in the Philippines. We’re waiting, working hard, and making sure everything’s okay. We’d get the approval of everyone so that it can finally happen,” the reigning Miss Universe said.

The Filipina beauty queen added, “I’m keeping my fingers crossed and if that happens, it’s gonna be historical. I may not have had my first walk but I will have my final walk here, at home.”
The DoT said a team from the MUO went to the country last week to conduct ocular inspections of possible venues for pageant events, including Vigan, Palawan and Cebu.
The Miss Universe pageant is slated on Jan. 30, 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City with visits to Vigan City, Iloilo City and Davao City by the candidates.

According to de Castro, rumors broke out after she posted a status on her Facebook account on Thursday evening, which read, “Naiyak si Pia. Naiyak ako. Sana nandito ka Jonas para 3 na tayong umiyak ( Pia cried. I cried. I wish you were here Jonas so the three of us could cry together).”

De Castro immediately demised the rumors through her Twitter account, but her status has spread quickly on social media.

“Meeting with the Miss Universe Organization is still ongoing and official announcements will be made in the next few days ,” de Castro said.

Miss Universe officials arrived in the Philippines last week to conduct ocular inspections on the proposed venues for the competition including Manila, Vigan, and Cebu.

The much anticipated Miss Universe beauty pageant will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Janu
