CELEBRITY COUPLE Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo are all smiles in their new house in Las Vegas. At right, Ryan carries his wife into the house. Are they moving to Las Vegas soon?
LAS VEGAS — Don’t look now but couple Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo have bought a house in Las Vegas, thus joining many celebrities, including government officials, who have invested in the United States.
Originally, it was just a sort of investment, but when Judy Ann saw it, she said she likes it and wants to stay somehow in the house whenever they are in the entertainment city.
Does this mean, the couple, who were married in 2009, has plans to move to Las Vegas someday?
Ryan, a co-host of the popular and longest running noontime show “Eat Bulaga” on GMA network, said he was amused while viewing a video of him and his actress wife while they were in their Las Vegas house.
“Wala, nagti-trip na lang kaming mag-asawa nun!” Ryan said with a smile when asked by Nerisa Almo of PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) about the house.
He said he bought the house as a sort of a surprise to his wife Judy Ann and stayed there only last September.
“You know, it was a happy moment for us. I wanted to share it to everyone ’cause it was a very special moment,” Ryan recalled to PEP.
Actually, the couple bought the house last year, Ryan said.
Ryan and Judy Ann actually first went to the house in August while it was being improved.
The actor-host shared to his Instagram account that first video of him and his 38-year-old wife visiting the house in August.
“I love you, Judy Ann,” Ryan even wrote as the caption of the video clip.
In the short clip, he is seen carrying his wife, who gave birth to their third child back in January, inside the new property. He also welcomed her with a kiss, telling her: “This is your new home!”
The video has since been viewed more than 50,000 times, with many of their fans sending their regards.
“I wish my husband would carry me the way Ryan did. Congrats on your new home!” one fan commented, according to an ABS-CBN report.
Santos and Agoncillo has been married since 2009. Aside from their newest baby Luna, they also have two other children – adopted daughter Yohan and biological son Lucho.
“When we bought the house… it was last year. We bought it kasi the market was good for buying a house. As an investment, we went on with it,” he explained.
“I went there in Las Vegas last year to fix the house. Hindi ko nga natapos so we had a handyman to do it,” he added.
The actor-tv host revealed that Judy Ann was not able to see the house itself when they bought it because she gave birth to their second child whom they gave the name “Luna.”
“First time niyang makita nitong trip namin noong August and then in September kasi na-CS [caesarean] siya kay Luna,” he said. “We’re supposed to have summer there but we couldn’t because she couldn’t travel,” he told PEP.
“That’s the first time she saw it. We came from a long drive from L.A. (Los Angeles). It was just a special moment, the sun was rising,” Ryan revealed.
“Our friends took the video and I’m just like… you know, kahit ako pinanood ko. Sa aming mag-asawa, we had a moment. For us it was awesome. We’re happy that people enjoyed it, too,” Ryan added.
With a house, does this mean they plan to stay in Las Vegas?
The “Eat Bulaga!” host had a ready answer. “Well, it’s an investment opportunity that opened up. Ang unang usapan is it’s gonna be an investment,” he pointed out.
“It turns out that she likes the house,” Ryan enthused.
“ She loves the location. I mean, it’s a humble home that’s just enough for us. Hindi naman siya magarbo, e. So, we’ll see what the future holds for us,” he said.
