Don’t be surprised when you would not see Marian Rivera in the movies or on television in the coming months.
The reason? A few months after her showbiz comeback, Marian Rivera said that she would be taking another break to focus more on taking care of her daughter Zia.
During the press launch of Johnson’s Milk+ ats, the Kapuso Primetime Queen told the members of the press that she wanted to be a hands on mom to Zia.
And she said she will be very selective in accepting assignments from her mother network GMA 7 since she wants to spend more quality and quantity time with her daughter with actor-husband Dingdong Dantes.
Marian disclosed she has told her management that her daughter is her topmost priority and that she wants to witness Zia’s toddler years.
“Hindi naman lingid sa kaalaman na kapag nagpakasal ka, automatic niyan magkakaanak ka. Nakipag-usap ako sa management ko and very honest naman ako na ang priority ko ay bumuo ng isang pamilya and pangarap ko talagang magkaanak,” she said.
Marian said she only agreed to have her morning show prolonged but will definitely take a rest from showbiz after its four-week extension.
“Nag-extend ako ng four weeks pero after nun sabi ko, ire-rest ko na muna kasi ang hirap magka-soap. Lumalaki kasi ‘yung anak ko. Sa stage na ito, hindi ko kayang iwan. Aalis ako ng bahay, tulog si Zia. Pag-uwi ko, tulog. Ang sakit para sa akin. So sabi ko, palakihin ko muna ‘yung anak ko and then after niyan, doon pwede na ulit sumabak,” she said
When she returned to work, Marian was instantly given the new assignment as host of Yan Ang Morning!, a lifestyle-morning talk show that allows viewers as well as the studio audience to participate and be involved in everything that Marian does in the program, reported Enna Hermoso.
Recently, Marian had for her guest the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino who was fresh from a vacation in the United States with her children.
In the show, she has a cooking segment, DIY projects and activities, and a segment where she even try the latest workouts and fitness trends.
“I’m glad that they (GMA Network) still give me projects that can showcase a different side of me,” Marian said.
The Kapuso star was also ecstatic to reveal that the show, which is designed for just one season will be extended for two more weeks.
“The management wanted to extend the show that’s why our viewers will still see us for a few more weeks,” she revealed.
Meanwhile, Marian will also play as “Ynang Reyna Minea” alongside her husband Dingdong , who will play as Raquim, in the 2016 remake of Kapuso fantaserye, Encantadia. Dingdong played the role of Ybrahim/Ybarro in the series’ original version.
Although offered with another soap scheduled to start taping in September, Marian said she would not have the time to accommodate additional projects.
When asked if she is willing to let Zia enter show business, Marian said that she wants to let the kid enjoy a normal life away from the limelight.
